William Garth, trainer of the stable of Ral Parr, and J. A. Cosden of Baltimore has made Abner Clopton an offer of 2,000 for the contract of young Coltiletti. The offer will not be accepted. There are still some mischief-making murmurings from Maryland about future action against The Jockey Club dominance. This is said to be preparation for operation next season without The Jockey Club having "much to say." It is to be hoped that future independence will not take the form of turf law and discipline breakage.
