HOT SPRINGS RACING RUMORS- E. F. Simms and Arkansas Business Men Said to Have Purchased Oaklawn Park. NEW YORK, N. Y., November 2S. Hot Springs rncing rumors persist. They take the form of the purchase, of Oaklawn Park from the Cella and Condon estates by a syndicate headed by Edward F. Simms. and including Arkansas men of influence, some of them business leaders of Hot Springs. Such a sale would clear the way for the opening of one of the best natural spring race courses iu tlie world. Opposition to former ownership and politics stopped Hot Springs racing. It increased with the death of Ixniis Cella, who was always able to handle the influence. Oaklawn, Park will be thronged with high-class horses next spring. The Hildreth, Simms, Camden and Madden horses are all going to winter at Oakluwn and would form a full nucleus for 1921 spring, .racing when added to by .the stables on their way; north from the New Orleans courses.
