HAMILTON AND DEVONSHIRE RETURNS TORONTO, Ontario, November 28. Reports upon the operations of two additional race tracks, the Western Racing Association, operating the Devonshire track at Windsor, spring and fall meetings, and tlie Hamilton Jockey Club Fall meeting the spring meeting figures having already been given have been made public by the treasury department, nient. The Hamilton Jockey Club took in wagers of ,0S0,509 at its fall meeting, its commissions amounting to 20,231. After allowing for depreciation for the half-year, business profits, war taxes and all other expenses, tlie club had a net profit of 8,8SS. The Western Association had receipts of 92,339 at its spring meeting and expenditures of 38,093, or a profit of 54,240. Betting amounted to ,020,-102, on which the association collected 10 per cent and "odd cents." At tlie fall meeting the association collected 60,777 plus the "odd cents" on the mutuels and took in 09,307. From this total it paid out 00,100 in purses. Its net profit after meeting all charges was, roughly, 00,000.
