LATE KENTUCKY TURF GOSSIP Kay Spence Buys Sister to Viva America-More Horses Shipped South. LEXINGTON, Ky.. December 3. Kay Spence, acting for Colonel W. E. Applegate and himself, today purchased from Charles W. Moore the yearling sister to Viva America by McGee Pink Rose, and she was shipped this afternoon to Louisville along with three other yearlings. She was broken by C. W. Worthington at the Kentucky Jockey Club track here and is regarded as one of the best of her sex and age. In the car with her were three youngsters sold by Carr "and Piatt yesterday and today. The chestnut colt by Delhi Pictons Pride goes to John S. Ward. The chestnut filly by Star Shoot Elniaha now is the property of Rogers and Aubuchon and is to be trained by the last named member of the firm. The brown filly by Wrack Cowl is to be trained by John L. Paul for Al Geyer of Cincinnati. Carr and Piatt have sold the bay filly yearling by Delhi Tres Joll to Robert Frakes. Will Woodard will leave for New Orleans tomorrow morning. He shipped from here yesterday three horses of his own, four for J. O. Keene, two for J. C. Milam and one for W. H. Fizer. AVoodards three are Rowdy, Black Watch II. and the yearling bay filly by Beach Comber Degenerate. Pagan Pan is among those sent by Keene. Milams two are ccmlng two-year-olds, the bar filly by The Finn Rabbitt and the chestnut filly by Golden Maxim Our Blonde to be handled by Will Perkins, who left here this morning for Now Orleans. Phil T. Chinn and Mrs. Chlnn have arrived in Lexington to spend the winter. A. J. Joyner Is spending today at A. B. Hancocks Claiborne Stud in. Bourbon County. W. W. Darden and W. L. Threlkeld were visitors there this morning and the latter booked his English "i mare Pleasant Puss to Omar Khayyam. I Frederick Johnson of New York is the guest of Hal Price Headley at Beaumont Farm, where he has an interest in the stallion Brown Prince.
