XORMAXDIE was restrained, for the first hatf and lost ground by coming wide on the stretch turn, but outstayed MURPHY at the end. MURPHY showed the most early speed, but quit in the last eighth. BROTHERLY LOVE, under hard riding, showed much speed, but tired right at the end after racing into tiie lead. II IXDOOSTAN showed speed, but quit and ran .much below his true. form.
