RESIGN FROM MONTREAL JOCKEY CLUB J. K. L. Boss1 Succeeds Sir Montagu Allan as President of the Blue Bonnets Course. MONTREAL, Que., December 18. After continuing in office as president of the Montreal Jockey Club since its inception during the summer of -1903, Sir II. Montagu Allan yesterday aftern0ott?fre-signed and Commander J. K. L. Ross was unanimously elected as his successor. Sir II. Montagu Allan gave pressure of business as his reason for resigning. Other members of the board also retired from office. A. E. Ogilvie resigned as vice-Presi-dent and Colin Campbell resigned as a member of the board of directors. These gentlemen have also hold office since the organization of the club. These changes will be ratified at the annual meeting of the club to be held early next March. Commander Ross, In speaking of his election, stated that he, had accepted the presidency of the Montreal Jockey Club due- to the fact that Montreal was ids home and he would do all in his power to follow his predecessor in making Blue Bonnets course one of the most attractive, in Cannda.
