UNEVENTFUL AT LEXINGTON Routine Racing the Order with No Stars Clasning General Haig Defeats Woodtrap Woodtrapin in a Close Finish Good GoodWeather Weather for Today LEXINGTON Ky April 27 W O Stoners General Haig which in the past has shown a great liking for this track and scored some brilliant vic ¬ tories here again demonstrated that he is capable of a good contest by taking the measure of the highly regarded Woodtrap in the iiiilc and a six ¬ teenth handicap which featured todays card The rough track was favorable to both contenders and they raced In front of the others from the start Woodtrap being in the van and apparently going easily until the stretch turn was rounded where General Haig came up steadily and in a brief rush drew up to win by a scant half length Woodtrap landed in second place a good distance in front of Master Bill with the others in the field well strung out outPleasant Pleasant weather was a feature this afternoon serving to bring out the full strength of racing enthusiasts here The track was in a bad way as a result of the heavy drenches it has been sub ¬ jected to but it improved steadily and if no more rain falls there is a good prospect of it being fast for the racing of tomorrow tomorrowBackers Backers of favorites fared poorly many of the choices succumbing this applying particularly to Advocate Better Still and Woodtrap The trio all
