BLUE GRASS FAIR RACING IN DOUBT LEXINGTON Ky June 29 The State Racing Commission at its meeting at Latonia last Friday according to announcement made today by secre ¬ tary Edward G Stpll adopted the following resolu ¬ tion and instructed that a copy of same be for ¬ warded to the racing secretary of the Kentucky Jockey Club ClubBe Be it resolved that a horse winning races at county or state fairs in Kentucky shall not be penalized for such winnings in races run thereafter under the jurisdiction of the Kentucky State Rac ¬ ing Commission The maiden allowance however shall be lost by the wininug of races at county or state fairs fairsThe The dates for the Blue Grass Fair which is held here and a feature of which annually has been a daily program of running races are September 5 to 10 inclusive Secretary Ken Walker today said that he had requested general manager Matt J Wihn of the Kentucky Jockey Club to arrange a schedule of dates for the fall meetings of his organization so that the chances for sufficient horses for the Blue Grass Fair would not be jeopardized but that he was unable to bring him to his view of the situation Secretary Walker to ¬ day was not in a iKisition to say definitely what will be the conclusion of his board of directors relative to a racing program here but he is in ¬ clined to the opinion that there will be no change in their plans and that good purses will be of ¬ fered He said however that he would be glad to have an expression from the horsemen as to whether or not they will patronize the Blue Grass Fair to the extent of entries as usual
