FAST RACING AT LATONIA High Cost Sets a Great Pace in Beating Miss Jemima Dream of Allah Takes Another AnotherRace Race for Her Owner Rider RiderWida Wida Hurt in a Fall LATONIA Ky June 20 Maintaining a high order of speed from the btart and holding to his task in gamer style than is his usual way High Cost reversed the decision of his last race with Miss Jemima and beat her to the finish by a neck in the threequarters handicap which featured this afternoons Latonia offering Angon finished third a good distance in back of the leaders and Dar jeeling headed John S Reardon and Atta Boy II the others comprising the band of starters in the race The threequarters was covered in 111 a highly creditable performance on the part of the winner in view of his early pacemaking with such fast quarters in 22 and 23 At that his surcess was in doubt all through the last eighth for Miss Jemima was bearing down on him in resolute style under Lykes best riding and the Rowe filly would have triumphed in a few more strides While Miss Jemima ruled favorite High Cost was by no means neglected and was almost in as much popular esteem as the filly Angon likewise had a host of supporters supportersIt It remained for Dream of Allah the flashy nnd almost masculine appearing daughter of Colin Garden of Allah to carry E B McLeans silks to another victory the second she lias scored for iiiin during the Kentucky season Her achievement came in the fourth race in which a dozen highly regarded juveniles met At the rate of betting esteem in which Dream of Allah was held it was supposed she would win unattended but the contrary de ¬ veloped for Wayward Lady gave the McLean filly a stout game and Butwell had to ride her out through the last sixteenth to keep her iu front by a scant half length It might liave been that Dream of Allah was a trifle short shortThe The sixth race in which some good threeyear olds met at a mile was attended by a bad fall with Mowing Bubbles and jockey S Wida the central igures Blowing Bubbles had attended Blanche Mac the leader closely until nearing the last eighth where there was a general closing up and in the scramble Secret Greetings was forced over on Blowing Bubbles whea Botheration ridden by Garner came over sharply The Bradley colt went down in a heap and appeared to have struck the fence Botheration after the fall made a rush to overhaul Blanche Mac but in the last sixteenth drive that ensued the diminutive Josiah proved a match for the more experienced Garner and kept Blanche Mac in the lead long enough to get the verdict Secreta Greetings landed third thirdWida Wida was carried to the track emergency hos ¬ pital where he was given medical attention He was badly lacerated about the back where he bail struck the fence but the gravity of his injury could not be determined by a superficial examination and ic was sent immediately to a local hospital Jockey Garner was given a fivedays suspension for rough riding
