BOTHERATION raced in nearest pursuit to the stretch and raced into the lead iu the last eighth, then appeared beaten, but came again in the last few strides to overhaul HUMPHREY. The latter appeared to be a certain winner seventy yards from the tinisb, but tired unexpectedly. BLACK HACKLE showed the most early speed, but was done after going three-quarters. WILLOW TREE began slowly and closed a gap. So did VULCANITE. The latter raced sluggishly and was never fully settled to his work, but was gaining steadily at the end. FIELD LARK came with a rush in tiie last sixteenth.
