GKANNV LEE set a fast pace in the early running and held on gamely in the final drive. PEUIGOUUD1NE ran forwardly for the entire race, but was tiring at the end. TURNABOUT began in u tangle and was forced to race wide all the way. OLD SINNER ran fairly well. SURMOUNT quit after running a fast half. ROBERT OLIVER gained steadily while under slight restraint to the last fence, from where h came fast and gamely and, wearing SWEEPMENT down in the last fifty yards. Won going away. SWEEP. MENT set a good pace, fenced cleanly throughout and withstood repeated challenges, but was tiring when called on for a final effort. SOUMANGHA moved up fast after going two miles, but could never get tn the leader. DOUBLET fenced faultlessly, but tired in the last piarter. EARLOCKER and BULLSEYB were never prominent. CALAMITY JANE set a terrific early pace, then raced in closest pursuit of MISS JOY and, finishing resolutely, was gaining slowly at the end. ROULETTE ran a good race and finished gamely. EXTEUSIINATOR, after being saved behind the leaders in the early running, moved pn gamely on the outside when entering the stretch and, passing YELLOAV HAND, was forced out at the finish to withstand MAD HATTERS challenge. The latter began slowly and was in the rear division until well around the last turn, from where he closed up steadily and made a fast and game finish. BELLSOLAR, showing sudden improvement, closed a big gap in the last quarter and headed YELLOW HAND in the final drive. YELLOW HAND raced into a clear lead, but tired in the last eighth. SEN-NINGS PARK set the early pace and quit badly. PAUL JONES ran a good race. GEORGIE failed to stay the route. Scratched 504S0ThundercIap, 129; 53995 Gnome, US. Overweights Georgie, 2 pounds. The latter saved ground on the turns and was well ridden, but was held safe by the winner. ESCARPOLETTE raced well and easily outstayed BIFF BANG in the stretch drive. DOUGHNUT worked her way up on the outside and, slipping through next to the inner rail in the last eighth, took the lead, but could not withstand the winners challenge. DOVESROOST set a fast pace for livereightlis and tired. VENDOR, off badly, closed an immense gap and ran the best race of all. EARLY BIRD was in close quarters through the last eighth.
