AVon driving; second and third the same, HASTEN ON was outpaced in the early running, but moved up with a rush into second place on the far turn and. finishing fast, got up to win in the final strides. LADY LUXURY, away quickly and saving ground on the turns, set a fast pace and made a game finish,- but began tiring in the final sixteenth. AMERICAN EAGLE can do much better, but ran poorly today and barely outstayed DARNLEY. The latter finished fast. COUNT BORIS quit. Overweights Count Boris, ti pounds. HILBUR followed closest to the winner and made a threatening move after rounding the far turn, but was held safe at the end. PERHAPS raced well for the entire way. but was tiring at the finish. GEORGE AV. was a forward contender from the start, but swerving out all through the final eighth. MIKE was knocked back at the start and closed a big gap. JACK HEALEY was in a jam right after the start. WATER AVILLOW and ST.
