JOCK SCOT, close up in the early running, moved up steadily when well into the stretch and, sfter being forced back, recovered quickly and, under vigorous riding, wore FORT CHURCHILL down in the last stride. The latter took the lead under restraint while rounding the last turn and raced TIDINGS into, defeat, hut could not withstand the winners challenge. TIDINGS showed much speed all the way and finished gamelv. SADDLE RING saved ground on the turns and was running fast at the end. CAPTAIN HERSIILER was sore when going to the post and ran a poor race. ROSS R. set a fast early pace and ran well to the last eighth. BLACK RASCAL, away forwiirdly, showed excellent speed in pacenialcing n the early running, but began tiring in the last eighth. RAY JAY, shutlled-back -while coming to the elbow, came around the leaders and, finishing fastv was gaining in the closing strides. TOIL was in close quarters in the stretch. YANKEE STAR began slowly and raced wide throughout. BIGHEART ran poorly. Scratched 5C528 Long Island, 110; 5G2C8 Dan Boiling, 107.
