MIRACLE MAN raced in a forward position nil the way. FORGE AHEAD, shuffled back on th-backstretch, saved ground on the turns and finished gamely. JUNO was off slowly nnd forced wide all the way, but closed a big gap. CLINCHFIELD was hard ridden from the start. FOREST QUEEN showed speed, but was poorly ridden. TITANIUM easily passed FRIZLET in the last quarter. The latter was hard ridden all the way, but quit after going five-eighths.. ROYAL JESTER ran out when going to the first turn. PRINCE JAMES, under slight restraint in the early running, was .repeatedly cut off. but saved ground when entering the stretch and. finishing fast, outgamed COTE DOR in tho final drive, but wii.-n going to the first turn he crossed beforir GOLDEN FLINT, causing the latter to collide with ST. PATRICK, for which he was disqualified. COTE DOR raced in closest early pursuit of WRECKER and was forced wide when entering the stretch, but came again and would have won anyhow in another stride. WRECKER set a fast early pace, but his rider repeatedly took him back in an effort to place him and ue tired badly in the final drive. ST. PATRICK and GOLDEN FLINT were never dangerous. The lutter set a fast early pace and tired iu the final strid-s QUESADA closed up ground gamely all the way. MODESTY quit iu the last quarter. KNOT GRASS ran poorly.
