DEMOS ran well to the last eighth and tired. CARPENTER set a fast pace for three-quarters and quit. ROCKMINISTER had scant chance with the frequent interference ho suffered from. GINGER saved much ground on the stretch turn and, finishing fast, outstayed BROOKHOLT. The latter was taken back soon after the start and came wide into the stretcli, but finished fast and gamely.
