ELEMENTAL set a fast pace from the start, raced YANKEE STAR into defeat and. coming swiftly through the stretch, held OPPERMAN safe at the end. The latter crowded SEDGE at the half mile post when he swerved over, hilt finished gamely through the final eighth. YANKEE STVR need I forwardly, bnt tired in the final drive. JIINATA, saved in the early ruiiuing and fencing in easy manner, moved up rapidlv in the landst turn of the held and, passing FRANK B., outstayed him at the end. FRANK B.. a good jumper raced into a long lead in the first .mile, but his early effort told on him and he tired near the end and just lasted long enough to outstay PECCANT.
