BREAKS RUN OF BAD LUCK Mose Goldblatts Colors to Fore Again When I Frank W. Captures Main Race HAVANA. Cuba. January 3.— Mose ioldblatt broke the spell of ill-luck which his stable has experienced recently when Frank W. won the feature race at Oriental Park this afternoon. Penman saved j 1 him behind Harlock until rounding the far turn, but when released from restraint the hors-dashed to the front and drew away into a four lengths lead. At the finish he was eased up. finishing a length and a half in front of Harlock. which was tiring and just did finish third. Currency started out to make a runaway affair of the fourth race, drawing away in the early stages, but after going three-quarters of a mil-had enough and Hazel W. found no trouble in ruing him into defeat iu the stretch. Suurose. the favorite, was never prominent. When the field lined up at the post in the first taca the full limit of twelve horses faced the starter. The race was a dash of five and a half furlongs. Light Fantastic was the favorite and. ridden by Chalmers, hud to be urged hard to get up in lime to beat Hibbler for the short end of the purse. The winner turned up in Toss Dp, which beat War Tax by a scant half length. Toss Ip made most of the pace, though forced to go around to the extreme outside of the others iu the early running i:i order to get in front. War Map made a runaway affair of the second race, in which he sprinted into a long lead daring the early running. At no time dating the running did the result appear in doubt and • the fins! War Map led Memphis by three engtha The latter just lasted king eaaagh to beat llayariUe by a lead for second place.
