The final days racing at Oriental Park scheduled for Sunday. March 20. when the Cuban Derby will be run. Beginning on Thanksgiving Day. November 24. the meeting has moved along until on February 28 eighty-four days of racing had been completed. During that time 525 races were decided and the Cuba -American Jockey and Auto Club distributed 31,705 in stakes and purses, a daily average of ,377. According to reports, the daily attendance records have surpassed any previous year, with capacity crowds tilling beautiful Oriental Park on Sundays and holidays, li has been a fertile field for a winter campaign and the majority of horse- I men participating have shared to some extent in the distribution of the generous prizes offered by the racing association.
