The Lincolnshire Handicap, as Is usual, fell lo an outsider, James Whites Granely. which, despite Donoghue riding hiai. was 20 to 1 in the betting. Granely won with the greatest ease and was well placed and managed in the race. There was a great crowd present at the Carholaae course. Tie air was bitingly eaU but dear and the race fairly inn on a deep course. Cranely was far the best. The American jockey. Archibald, rode a good nca on the favorite.
