. » — , _ i STARTLE FOR EARLY START i LEXINGTON, Ky., April 18.— The first large shipment of horses arrived this morning at the Kentucky Jockey Club track when ; the large string of Montfort Jones, in charge of trainer Kay Spence, got in from Louisville, as did also the stable of R. D. Wiiliams. Trainer John I. Smith says the report that II. H. Hewitts great filly Startle will avoid a dash with Morvich is entirely without foundation and that both owner and trainer are anxious for the pair to meet. The Hewitt filly will start twice at Lexington in preparation for the Derby and trainer Smith I says if she continues to train as she is doing now she will be a mighty hard one : to beat in the great race.
