CANADIAN RIDER IN LUCK LUCKTORONTO TORONTO Ont April 27 A champion jockey of a few years ago Al Cormack of Woodstock left there yesterday and will sail today from New York on the Rocham beau for France A week or so ago Cor ¬ mack received a cable message asking him to go to France to ride and a handsome retainer was offered to pilot the horses of one of the Rothschild stables When the Woodstock jockey gets to France he will probably soon be found in the saddle At present he weighs about 13t but expects to make riding weight when he reaches France FranceEddie Eddie Steed trainer who died at Balti ¬ more recently some years ago trained Sue Kittie and other horses for Ambrose J C Small the missing theatrical magnate Last year he trained Bugle March on the Ca ¬ nadian circuit circuitRobert Robert Newell reports the loss of his day old filly foal by Annier Matrix MatrixJ J C Fletcher also reports the loss of a weekold foal by Anmer Pampineau
