KINGS PLATE PROSPECTS Corenzio Rules Favorite for Big Canadian Stake Feature to Be Run at Woodbine Park TORONTO Ont May 1 Three weeks from last Saturday the sixtythird Kings Plate will be run at Woodbine Park This year in addition to the fifty guineas the gift of King George V there will be 10000 added by the Ontario Jockey Club ClubEntries Entries closed on March 15 with Forty four nominations The owner of the winner will receive the guineas stakes and 7000 the second horse 51500 and the third horse JlOOO The breeder of the winner will re ¬ ceive 5500 5500The The favorite for the race this year is the Brookdale Stables Corenzio which has grown and broadened out during the winter and is now fully 200 pounds heavier than he was last year Corenzio looks like a real cham ¬ pion and his racing last year showed that he has speed courage and endurance enduranceCorenzios Corenzios stablemate Paddle is another good threeyearold and will be a good second string for the Brookdale Stable StableHerendesy Herendesy last years Kings Plate winner is again training soundly and will be seen under colors at Woodbine Park He will be at Woodbine May 6 when the Brookdale Stable will be shipped from Barrie BarrieSHOULDER SHOULDER ARMS MUCH IMPROVED IMPROVEDGeorge George M Hendries Shoulder Arms is also well thought of He has improved wonder ¬ fully since last year and trainer John Nixon makes no secret of the high regard in which he holds the Hendrie candidate Orient Bay another fouryearold is the second string for the stable stableMrs Mrs L A Livingstons Moll Cutpurse is training well at Cobourg and this fouryear old filly has had plenty of racing experience experienceJ J H McColls Barnabas a fiveyearold maiden has shown well in his gallops at Cobourg where he has been working with the Livingston horses and he is a sure starter in the big race raceThe The Seagram Stables best candidate is said to be Impersonator a smart threeyearold with Galbally the next choice choiceThe The Brenner pair Royal Gift and Puff Ball are in excellent condition as was dem ¬ onstrated by their work Saturday three quarters in 1 21 with Royal Gift showing the way and appearing much the better of the two twoGAZINTA GAZINTA IN FAST 1VORKOUT 1VORKOUTJ J C Fletchers El Jesaiar and Bandolero have shown good speed in their morning works at Woodbine Park and both are bred to go the route Gazinta and Cheechako are also speedy The former worlced fiveeighths Saturday in 1 03 the fastest move of the season Robert Newells Greybourne has been burn ¬ ing up the track at Dufferin Park and has also put on a lot of much needed weight since last year when she was as lean as a rail fence presumably from overwork Grey bourne was a good twoyearold and may develop into a highclasjs fouryearold fouryearoldThe The Thorncliffe Stable has a crack three yearold in Captain Scott but word comes from the farm that this colt will not be hurried and he will not be a starter in the Plate unless he is fit The stable however will be well represented by the fouryear old filly South Shore and the threeyearold Push Pin both of which have shown enough quality to encourage the stable connections
