The latter was a prominent contender all the way and made a last and game finish. VENDOR saved much ground on the rurnj and responded gamely when called on, but tired after getting to the leader.. MOONRAKKR. well up in the early running, was shudled back on the turn cut of the buckstrctch, but recovered quickly and, saving ground on the last turn, came fastest of all through the final eighth. VIC II. was compelled to nice wide all the way and finished clo3c up. ALADDIN set a fast pace, but tired badly in the stretch drive. TALL TIMBER was closing swiftly in the stretch when he was forced back in the last thirty yards. BUD I.EKNKR began slowly and, being repeatedly cut off, was never able to get fully in his stride. MAD HATXER, after being der restraint in the early running, moved up fast next to the inner rail at the hulf-mile post, bui was shullied back, after which he did not extend himself. 1.KTTKJU1AN was badly outrun. AMOR PATRIAE, off forwardly, raced into a big lead, but tired badly in the last eighth. BEST LOVE ran well and finished gamely. BETTER TIMES raced welL MISS STAR displayed speed.
