DENIAL FEOM JUDGE MURPHY CLEVELAND, Ohio, July 27. Judge Joseph A. Murphy today denied the story from New Orleans that he had applied for the position of presiding steward at the Fair Grounds. "Several days ago I received a personal letter from Mr. Dymond, tho president, asking me if my services were available for tho winter. I wrote him a personal letter In answer, outlining my ideas of the New Orleans situation, and I am rather surprissd that our correspondence should have got into print," said udge Murphy.
