CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Claude Burlingame, former well-known jockey and trainer, plans to purchase a stable of horses to race in California when the sport is revived at Tanforan. Howard Spreckels, secretary of the newly organized Pacific Coast Jockey Club, will have a stable of his own and independent of the big string that will carry his fathers colors at Tanforan. On Tuesday, August 22, there will be sold at Saratoga the beautifully bred mare Coronet, bay, 1910, by Voter Rosegarland, by Boulevard, property of J. B. and C. F.
