JUDGE MURPHY HAS MANY ENGAGEMENTS TOLEDO, Ohio, August 18. At the conclusion of the meeting here on Saturday Judge Joseph A. Murphy will leave for Erie, Pa., where he will fill in four days for Fred W. Gerhardy as presiding judge. Gerhardy will arrive Friday to take charge for the remainder of the meeting. Judge Murphy will go to Windsor and later will serve as honorary presiding judge during the racing at the State Fair of Michigan at Detroit, which commences September 4, and steward during the "ghorncliffe Park meeting to follow at Toronto. At the conclusion of this he will go direct to Chicago to complete the details for the opening of the Hawthorne Park meeting, opening September 30.
