BUCKWHEAT wore the leaders down after rounding the far turn and. taking the lead, came on the outside on the stretch turn and, finishing fast, won going away. ETHEL CLAYTON dwelt -when the barrier was released, but closed a big gap and finished with a rush on the inside. HUGHES GRAnAM raced KOSIE II. into defeat, but tired and ran below his true form. SEWELL COMBS stumbled at the start, but recovered quickly and, while racing on the outside of SUN BRAE, forced a fast pace and, taking a small lead iu the stretch, held it resolutely. SUN BRAE, away quickly, set a great pace, saved ground on all the turns and. after being headed, made a game finish. MISS PETITE ran well and finished fast. NIGHT RAIDER closed a big gap. TOP O TH MORNING was under restraint early, but came wide ou the stretch turn and failed to improve his position. Won easily; second and third driving. FAIR SAIN raced close up under slight restraint to the last turn, then came with a rush and, taking the lead, drew away in the final eighth to win in a canter. SANDY BEAL was bumped back while going to the firit turn, but closed a big gap and finished fast. MOSS FOX II., away quickly and clear of early interference, ran a good race, but tired after taking the lead. JIMMIE DAW came again fast at the end. BRILLIANT JESTER finished well. FINERY was knocked sideways while going to the first turn and did not recover. JOHN FINN crossed over sharply on the first turn and caused a jam, then stole away into a long lead, but quit badly in the stretch. 6 A A Th FIFTH RACE 3-4 Mile. Aug. 26, 19201:113104. ESTERO dwelt at the start, but gained steadily on the inside and, coming to the outside of the leaders on the stretch turn, finished with a rush and got up to win In the final stride. SUAVE PRINCE raced in closest pursuit of CARMANDALE, but tired after heading the latter. CARMANDALE set a great pace and saved ground on all the turns, but was tiring at the end. SAILING B. was cut off on the Htretch turn and finished fast. DOROTHY BUCKNER showed a flash of early speed. BULLDOG DRUM-MOND was always outrun. D. quit after disposing of HAMAN.
