QUHSADA set a fast pace in tlife early running, hut could not keep pace with the winner when challenged. THK PERUVIAN raced next to the rail throughout and, saving much ground on the turns, outstayed MA1ZK in the final drive. MAIZE closed a big gap. SERVICE STAR tired. BRAVO ran a fairly good race. Won driving; second and third the same. DRY MOON slipped through on the inside on the last turn and, finishing fast, wore SADDLE AND ROOTS down and outlinislied him. SADDLE AND BOOTS set a fast pace from the start and held on resolutely when challenged. GEORGIE was last of all in the early running, but came through fast on the inside in the "final quarter mile and outstayed LANIUS in the final drive. The latter dwelt at the start and was under slight restraint while rounding the last turn, hut tired badly when called ou in the stretch. GOOD TIMKS retired after going a half mile. BLANC iING, a prominent contender from the start, came wide into the stretch and lost ground, hut recovered in the final eighth and, taking the lead, finished going away, but had crossed over quickly at the start and interfered with several opponents, for which he was disqualified. THES-SALY .set a great pace, appeared to tire in the stretch, responded gamely to hard riding and ontfinished SUNDAY It EST iu the final drive. SUNDAY BEST raved ground on all the turns and moved up menacingly at the eighth post, but tired in the last sixteenth. SWEEP HAWK was forced to pull up at the start and had to race wide, but was coming fast at the end. AMBLER met with interference and quit. PRINCE Til Til was unable to improve his position. ANONYMOUS tired after going a half mile. YVIIDRAKK met with interference at the start and fell to his knees. The winner, entered for ,700. was bid up to ,100 and sold to S. Louis. BI.UEMONT, off slowly and suddenly improved, raced into the lead quickly and, while swerving frequently, finished fast next to the outer rail, and outstayed PICKETER in the final drive. The latter worked his way up steadily and, finishing with excellent speed, wonld have won in a few more strides. RIGEL. off forwardly and well ridden, raa well and had no mishaps.
