DIXIE DICK raced in closest pursuit of LAYOL and, in a game finish, wore her down in the stretch to win drawing clear. LAYOLA sprinted into a quick lead, but was unable to withstand DIXIE DICKS rush at the finish. TIP TOE INN raced forwardly all the way. DELANTE finished well. FERNANDOS showed some early speed. BOND, after racing in forward pursuit of the early leader, drew alongside of SKEER FACE in tho stretch and, in a hard drive, outgamed him at the end. SKEER FACE closed a gap in the early running and made a fast and game finish. JACOBINA made up ground and came fast at the end. BATTY IL, quit badly after setting a good pace to the stretch. BILL BLACKWELL finished fast. MONEY waa never dangerous. TOY MISS ran a good half. HUZZAS pulled up lame. INCOGNANCE raced into a big lead in the early running, but failed to stay and quit in the last eighth. BELLE OF ELIZABETHTOWN moved up rapidly in the final eighth after racing very wide on the turns.
