HONOR MAN ran as if best at the weihgts, was saved until reaching the stretch, where he rushed into the lead and won easing up. JOHN S. REARDON began slowly and was far. back to the last quarter, where he came with a rush. HADRIAN ran a good race and was running gamely at the end. TULANE was ridden wide most of the way. Won driving; second and third the same. LOU WIDRIG was hard ridden and, gaining steadily after going a half mile, finished gamely and outstayed MEGAN. The latter began slowly and was ridden wide on the turns, but responded gamely when ridden hard and would have won in a few strides more. MATINEE IDOL ran wcR, but tired in the last" sixteenth after taking the lead. GEM, also ridden wide into the stretch, ran a good race. LADY MADCAP suffered from interference in the first eighth, but moved up rapidly after going a half mile and, racing into the lead, held ROCKMINISTER safe in the stretch. ROCKMINISTER was taken across sharply in the first eighth and bumped hard into the others, but closed a big gap and finished gamely. ROULEAU also made up ground and finished well. PINDAR PEEL tired- in the last eighth. DR. CLARK raced CHATTERTON itno defeat and tired from the effort required. CHATTERTON quit after racing into the lead on the backstretch. GEORGETTE had to be taken back slightly on the first turn and was hampered by the winner In the stretch, but finished gamely. PARIS MAID finished fast. RAIDER had no mishaps.
