1 , GUARDING ENGLISH RACING Leading Questions About Sport Put to English Parliamentary Candidates. LONDON, England, November 7. The National Workmens Council of London is putting the following questions to candidates seeking election to parliament: If returned to the house of commons will you watch the interests of racing against attacks by the killjoys? AVill you oppose any interference with all other outdoor sports of the people by the spoil-sports? If elected to the house of commons will you press the minister of transport to use his influence with the railway companies with a view to their making a reduction in the present exorbitant charges demanded to convey race horses and their attendants to race meetings?
