Won pulled up; second and third driving. MARIONETTE drew away into a long load while rounding the far turn and won in a canter. GONWITHIM ran well and outgamed NOON GLIDE in the final drive. NOON GLIDE began slowly and made a wide turn into the homestretch. HAVANA ELECTRIC set a fast early pace, but quit in the last quarter. ROLDGOLD began fiatfooted. fifiS8 SECOND RACE 5 1-2 Furlongs. APPLE JACK II. raced in closest pursuit to the stretch turn and, responding gamely when called on, was going away at the end. CARRIE MOORE set a good pace and was on the inside for the entire race, but tired in the final drive. ARTICLE X. outstayed GRIT. The latter was fractious at tho post and began slowly. RAS slipped through on the inside when entering the homestretch and, wearing the leaders down, outgamed HURON II. in the final drive. The latter began well and eet a fast pace, but was much used in racing CURRENCY into defeat and tired. CDRRENCY began fiatfooted, but closed a big gap in the first eighth and was on the outside for the entire race. KITTY CHEATHAM ran well. BILLY LANE finished fast. The latter ran a good race and finished gamely. LITTLE BLACK SHEEP ran well. OYDONIA showed the most speed to the stretch turn and probably was short. FINCASTLE ran poorly. CROMWELL tired after racing into the lead in the homestretch. TONY BEAU ran well and made a game finish. COYNE set a good pace, but quit and pulled up very lame. HARLOCK showed the most speed from the start and raced DAIRYMAN and DUKE RUFF into defeat in the early racing, but was tiring at the end and barely lasted long enough to withstand NELLE YORKES challenge. The latter closed a gap and came with a rush through the last eighth after making a wide turn into the homestretch. DUKE RUFF raced well and finished gamely, but tiring. KELTOI ran a good race. DAIRYMAN quit.
