SUNSINI began slowly but worked hI3 way up on the inside into second place and, flnfcrtrfng fast and gamely, passed WINNIPEG in the last sixteenth and outstayed BELLY BERN. The latter saved ground when entering the homestretch and finished with a rush. WINNIPEG showed the moat early speed and set a fast pace, but tired. DINAH DEAN propped at the start. SPODS began slowly, but moved up quickly on the inside on the backstretch and, passing GOOD ENOUGH on the last turn, won going away. MAMBI made up ground and passed PUFF BALL in thm last eighth after saving ground when entering the homestretch. PUFF BALL raced well to the last eighth and tired badly. HUMPY closed a big gap. The latter was badly outpaced for the first half, but finished fast and gaining next to tho inside rail. CICERONIAN was weakly ridden and lost ground by a wide nm into the homestretch.
