CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Jockey E. Petzoldt, who made quite a reputation at the Hawthorne meeting, is now riding at Tijuana. C B. Irwins Motor Cop galloped three-eighths of a mile in 36 a few days before the Tijuana meeting began and is scheduled for an early start. The speedy American Ace is among the horses Edward Cebrian and John Lowe shipped to Cuba to race at Oriental Park. Other horses in that establishment are Bryn-i m.m, Salamander. Lotta Speed, War IdoL Imle Sonny, Ballot Rose, Molinero and Eastern Star, in addition to five well-bred j earlings. The nine yearlings owned by Polk Laffoon, member of the Kentucky State Racing Commission, which are wintering at Churchill Downs under the care of trainer Bob Shan-ion, were entered in the various stakes for which they are eligible at Saratoga.
