ARGONNE FOREST, away slowly, closed a big gap and made a fast finish. CAVE MAN raced forwardly throughout and finished close up. GLKNZAR made up some ground. LOMOND JR. showed speed, but tired. Won driving; Eecond and third the same. KIMONO rushed to the front at once and, under a good ride, held sway throughout, but tired and Just managed to win. CHICK BARKLBY, after racing in closest pursuit, came fast through the final eighth and wonld have won in the next stride. LITTLE ORPHAN ran a good race from a slow beginning. The latter set the early pace and, taking the lead again in the stretch, only succumbed right at the end. LITTLE DEAR made up mnch ground and finished rapidly, overhauling the leaders.
