CONTOUR moved up steadily through the stretch and. responding well to hard riding In the final sixteenth, wore PUNTA GORDA down in the last twenty yards to win in the last stride. PUNTA GORDA began well and showed the most speed in fast paeemaking, but began tiring in the stretch drive. VKN-NIE began badly and was far back in the early running, but closed a big gap and came fast through the st re tcli. COTROMPA was close up when cut off in the first quarter. ZOONA ran a good half. CADORNA closed a gap steadily and was going fastest at the finish. FLU set a good pace, but began tiring after reaching the stretch. FINANCIAL BOOSTER ran a good race and finished gamely. LURA tired. TRUST OFFICIAL quit after running a good half mile. PLAN-TOON can do much better. SILVER SPRINGS was away poorly. Scratched C0C9S Col. ANONYMOUS was well up for the first half mile, but began tiring badly in the stretch. JAKE BBRGBR was far back until in the stretch, where he came fast. .TAJIKS F. OHARA quit after going a half mile. CARNARVON showed high speed in pacemaking, but began swerving out when reaching the stretch, then finished well and passed TOM McTACGART. The latter raced into second place in the stretch, but tired. SAGAMOOK had a rough race and was repeatedly cut off in the first three-quarters, but finished fast. BALLOTCAR finished well. BETTY J. and JUNO quit.
