Don-j oghue, who has been keen to complete his "century" of winning mounts for the season, accomplished the feat on Light Jester in the Friary Nursery at the Derby course yesterday. Early in the season, as the Translucence colt, this youngster showed good form. A great finish was seen between Light Jester and Overseer, but the former had a short head the better of it. The horses were so close at the finish that it would not have been surprising had an objection been lodged. Many protests have been lodged this season on far more flimsy grounds. However, the "weighed in" was called and so Donog-hues followers saw the judges verdict undisturbed.
