Won driving; second and third the same, NORFORDS LAST moved up fast after entering the stretch and, taking the lead in the middle of J the track in the best going, outstayed ARGONNE FOREST in a fast finish. ARGONNE FOREST began Blowly, but closed up with a rush in the stretch and finished resolutely. CAVE MAN forced a good pace from the start and showed in front momentarily, but tired near the end. DR. The latter came fast i through the final eighth and made a game finish. HANOVERS TOPAZ set the pace for five-eighths, then gave way to the winner. SUMMER SIGH, while racing on the outside of the leaders and close up, engaged in a bumping match with COUNT BORIS when an eighth out, then got clear and, finishing gamely, just managed to withstand the challenge of LAVAGA. The latter came around the leaders in the stretch and, finishing with a cyclonic rash, would have won in the next stride. COUNT BORIS showed the most early spted, but tired in the final drive. REGRESO raced in closest early pursuit, but finished in the deepest going next to the rail and tired. Overweights Regreso, 4 pounds.
