WHITNEY CRACKS ARE LEASED John P Grier and Upset Shipped to Kentucky Garths Visit A B Hancock HancockLEXINGTON LEXINGTON Ky January 11 Harry Payne Whitney this week leased two of his stallions to Kentucky breeders Tho splendid horse Jqhn P Grier is to be shipped this week from Brookdale Farm New Jersey to the popular liorsemen John D Carr and Thomas Piatt and will make the season there To A E Hundley at Monietta Farm Danville Ky will be sent Upset the only horse which ever defeated Man o War Mr Hundley also gets the stallion Dis Done Hundley claims the first foal of the year in Kentucky which is a chestnut filly by Ever ¬ est Aralia by Handsome This filly he re ¬ ports came at 6 20 in the morning of Janu ¬ ary 2 which is a day earlier than the foal by Tea Caddy Blue Grass Bell which arrived at John S Barbees farm last week the property of W A Shea SheaWilliam William Garth and Lewis Garth of Vir ¬ ginia are visiting A B Hancock at his Claiborne Farm near Paris Ky KyColonel Colonel and Mrs Phil T Chinn have gone East to spend several days daysJohn John Walters trainer for George Hendrle is here from Canada to see Great Britain and a number of mares the property of his em ¬ ployer ployerWilliam William Wallace is here from the East for a visit
