American turf is the Suburban Handi ¬ cap Run since 1884 it numbers among its winners some of our most famous racers For the 1923 Suburban a total of sixty nomi ¬ nations were received including practically all of the foremost handicap horses of the country countryThe The Rancocas Stable leads In the number of entries trainer S C Hildreth having named nine H P Whitney and J S Cos den are represented by six each eachAmong Among the older horses nominated are such stars as Grey Lag Mad Hatter Thun ¬ derclap Knobble Paul Jones Snob II Oceanic Exodus Rockmlnister Surf Rider Firebrand Captain Alcock KaiSang Little Chief Lucky Hour Prince James Tryster Bunting Pillory Bon Homme and others of high standing standingTo To enter a threeyearold in the Suburban indicates the high regard and hopes enter ¬ tained by the owner in the future of that racer Naturally only the best are named A good idea of the most promising of that division at least from an eastern point of view there are
