WHISKAWAY WINTERS WELL APPEARS SOUND LOUISVILLE Ky February 27 C W Clark paid a reported price of 125000 for Whiskaway the fouryearold son of Whisk Broom II Inaugural last year and only had the pleasure of seeing his highpriced purchase carry his colors in one race as the colt became so sore it was impossible to train him He was fired and turned out and has thrived wonderfully during the winter here at Churchill Downs He is now appar ¬ ently as sound as ever and trainer G V Barnes has already had him under saddle giving him enough exercise to fit him for hard training gallops later on Whiskaway has been entered in all the big stakes and handicaps that are to be run in Kentucky during the spring meetings
