AlNT JANF. followed LADY CHOCO closely until at the eighth post, where she took the lead, hut tired in the final drive and just lasted to win. LADY CHOCO set a fast early pace and stepped into ■ soft spot while racing through the stretch, but quickly recovered and was wearing the winner down at the end. RACHEL POTTER, a forward contender throughout, finished gamely. ROMAN GIRL showed speed while rounding the turn, but was unable to overhaul the leaders. WHANC1.EH raced forwardly from the start and, coming with a rush through the final eighth. wore the leaders down in the last twenty yards and won drawing clear. TICKLISH began slowly and moved up steadily while rounding the last turn and, saving ground when entering the stretch, passed IRA WILSON, but was in the deepest going and tired near the end. IRA WIIJ50N took the lead on the stretch turn and drew clear, but came wide to secure the best going and lost ground, but came again in the closing strides and was wearing TICKLISH down.
