DKLANCKY set the early pace and was a persistant and close i:p contender from the start am! made a game finish, CANNONBALL closed up ground and just managed to outstay LITTLE OINK. INDIAN gained steadily after passing the half and coming around the leaders when turning for home raced to the front when a sixteenth oot, but had to be hard ridden at the end to withstand the terrific rush of CAR. The latter, away slowly, closed a big gap and would hare won in the next stride. BLACK PAT made up ground and finished fast. CUBA also closed a gap. CALWAY set a good pace to the stretch and quit. TRUSTY raced gamely, but not up to expectations. CAUNZEL was prominent throughout, but her saddle turned when a sixteenth out and she lost her weight pad, for which she was disqualified. COL. SNIDER, after racing TEN N I LEE into defeat, raced to the front midway of the stretch, but readily gave way to the first two when challenged.
