JOHN HACEK set a fast early pace and tired slightly near the end. ARABIS was forced back badly Ma after the start and raced wide afterward, but finished fast and gamely. SHAFE was ridden wide on all turus. MALVERN had to be taken back soon after the start and closed a gap. QUAVER quit. GIMME Jumped well and had to be hard-ridden to outstay COURTEOUS. The latter went to his knees at the tenth jump, but recovered and finished fast. PHOENIX ran well. MR.
