The latter set a fast early pace, but was tiring at the end. PROCYON closed a big gap and finished fast en the inside. LION DOK ran a fast half and tired. NEW HAMPSHIRE ran well. CHEECHAKO gained steadily from a slow beginning and, finishing fast, outgamed TRAIL BLAZER in the final drive. The latter raced well and finished gamely.
