TEMPTING GOLD SHEKELS Offered to Bring Abont a Race Between My Own and Winner of International Race NEW YORK, N. Y., Oct 16. Spalding Lowe Jennings is making another effort to obtain a matth race for the Maryland State Fair Association meeting at Laurel. Tuesday he wired both Sam Hildreth and Basil Jarvis offering a purse of 0,000 for a meeting between the winner of the International Match Saturday and Admiral Graysons My Own, to be run at Laurel October 25. The conditions of this race as outlined by Mr. Jennings is a mile and a half at scale weight of 126 pounds. It was the announced intention to ship Papyrus back on the Aquitania after he finished his engagement Saturday, but this offer mighfc induce Mr. Jarvis to change his plans should the son of Tracery be returned the winner. As for Zev, it will be remembered that Hildreth promised some time ago that he would race the Sinclair colt against My Own after he fills his engagement Saturday, so it is reasonable to expect that he will keep that promise should the son of The Finn Miss Kearney be returned the winner. And this is not the only chance for a meeting between Zev and My Own, for both are engaged in the Latonia Championship Stakes, and both Admiral Grayson and Hildreth have promised to start in that race. Colonel Matt Winn of the Kentucky Jockey Club intimated some time ago that should Papyrus be the winner he would offer a 00,000 purse for a meeting between him and My Own at Churchill Downs, so that there is plenty of opportunity for the Derby winner to make his stay in this country a wonderful one, if he takes the measure of Zev Saturday.
