Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. FIRST LADY HARDING followed the leader under slight restraint in the early racing and, taking the lead when called on, drew away into an easy lead, but was tiring at the end. PARVENU set a fast pace and made a game finish, but was tiring and just lasted to save second place. MITAU was hard-ridden and, finishing with a belated rush, almost got up to win. ROYAL MISS was hard-ridden for the entire race. LADY AUDREY saved ground when entering the stretch. Scratched 74C30 Sun Silent, 104; 74C53 Ramo, 104; 74308 Hands Up, 112; 74CS0 Clarice C. HULLABALOO recovered his speed suddenly and, setting a great pace, took a long lead while rounding the last turn, but tired in the stretch and barely lasted to win. PltlNCK REGENT was a forward contender throughout, saved ground when entering the stretch and was going fast at the end. WHIRLWIND ran well and had no mishaps. Won easily; second and third driving. lOSS STAR was away fast and, setting a great pace frcm the start, raced into a decisive lead after atering the stretch, but was hard ridden to the end. OSPREY, on the outside throughout, was forced wide mmi bumped by Bigel on the stretch turn, then came fast when clear and was gaining steadily in the dMlng strides. KINGS BELLE, displaying a sudden recovery of speed, raced under stout restraint to the last quarter nnd, coming with a rush through the stretch, wore CAVEAT EMPTOR down and won in the last stride. The latter raced CARMEN PANTAGES into defeat in the early running and took the lead in the stretch, but tired in the last fifty yards. CARMEN PANTAGES raced forwardly and saved ground on the turns, but tired in the last eighth. EGE raced prominenly for a half mile. DEXTEROUS lacked speed and ran a bad race. MISS CAMEO took the lead quickly and raced into a leng lead in the early racing, then tired, but held her lead resolutely when challenged and outstayed MARIE MARTIN in the final drive. The latter was hard ridden and gained steadily, but swerved in behind the leader in the stretch, then would have won in a few more strides. LOANDA, oft slowly, closed a big gap. POLYXENA ran a creditable race. NEMESIS tired in the last eighth. AMITY CLAIM showed early speed. STARDRIFT was shuffled back on the last turn. There was considerable crowding and the race was not truly run.
