Won easily; second and third driving. FASKADALE took the lead at once and, keeping it under restraint, was shaken up slightly when HOUDINI challenged, but was eased up at the end. The latter made a bad landing at the liver-pool, but recovered and made a challenge after taking the thirteenth jump, but the winner held him safe. DOMINGO was hard ridden to outgamc MERCURIUS. JACKSON raced prominently and finished gamely AGGRAVATING PAPA closed a gap and finished fast. SPARTAN ran well. WITHOUT tired" XIXIA could never get up. The last two at the start had no chance. SUN FLAG was far back for the first half, but gained steadily on the inside and, coming fast on the outside in the stretch under a powerful hand ride, got up to win in the last few strides. RUNNING WILD ran a good race in the going and made a resolute finish. H. T. WATERS was rushed into second place soon after the start and finished fast and gamely between the other two leaders. BRICE ran well. YANKEE PRINCESS dropped back after going a quarter. SARKO showed early speed SHERMAN was always outrun. Won driving; second and third the same. REJECTION began slowly, but worked her way up gradually on the inside and finishing gamely next to the inner rail, got up to win in the last stride. SNOW MAIDEN raced into the lead on the last turn and made a game finish when challenged. BELLE ARTISTE raced into close up contention on the backstretch, but tired right at the end. REKAB raced forwardly all the way but pulled up lame. LAST REVEILLE, away well, set an extremely fast pace for the going and, saving ground on all the turns, withstood challenges from BUCADO in the early racing, but tired and just lasted to out-linlsh POE. The latter began slowly, but wcrked his way up steadily and finished with a rush on the outside. BUCADO ran well and had no mishaps. SAGAMORE was taken wide on the turn out of the backstretch, but closed a big gap. RAFFLES quit. MABEL K. ran poorly. CAPTAIN COSTIGAN began well, but immediately fell to the rear. MY DEAR, after being saved for the first mile, gained rapidly in the last half mile and, joining EXODUS nt the head of the stretch, passed him quickly and was cased up at the end. EXODUS set a good pace under stout restraint for the first mile and ran a good race, but could not withstand the winners challenge. HEPHAISTOS finished with a belated rush and outgamcd MAXIMAO In tho final drive. The latter was under restraint in the early racing, but was tiring at the end. OLD TIMER passed tiring horses at the end. ST. DONARD quit in the final drive. OWASCO closed a big gap. WAR MASK and SLING quit badly.
