CARE FREE showed the most early speed, but began swerving out in the last eighth when tiring. ATTILIA ran a gcod race and came fast through the stretch. CORAL REEF closed a gap. CHARLES HENRY quit after going well for a half i mile. ARCHIE ALEXANDER ran poorly. RAMRA, favored by his light weight and given a good ride, followed GUVNOR closely and steadily wore him down in the last seventy yards, but just lasted long encugh to win. ANTONIA raced prominently, but had to come a trifle wide into the stretch, but linished with a rush and would have won in another stride. GUVNOR showed the most speed to the last eighth, but tired in the last sixteenth. SAGAMORE closed a gap and finished fast and close up. RHINEGOLD tired after going well for three-eighths.
