FIREBRAND GOING SOUNDLY NEW ORLEANS. La., Jan. 27. Trainer Al Kerby reports that Jefferson Livingstons good handicap horse Firebrand is getting along famously in his training, but that he will not send him to the post until the Lexington spring meeting. Firebrand bowed a tendon at Saratoga last summer and, after being shipped here in November, was taken down with a serious attack of indigestion. Since his recovery the horse has been given only lightwork, as it was not his trainers intention to start him this winter.
